Description

Retarding the cement setting, this material slows down the hydration process and decreases the internal temperature of the concrete. Thus, it is appropriate for warm weather and bulky concretes. As this retarder slows down the process of hydration in early hours, it can reduce the resistance to some extent which is natural. The concrete resistance increases while it is aging.

Dosage

The exact dosage is variable with regard to building materials, the type and amount of cement, the environment temperature, the sun shining intensity, and the intensity of wind blowing. However, a dosage between 0.1 to 0.5 % of the cement weight is recommended. As this product is sensitive, its weighing must be done carefully. Adding the excessive amount of this admixture could delay the setting for a couple of days and lead to severe reduction of early resistance.

How to use

Add the calculated amount of this admixture to the concrete which is being made and let the mixing process continue for 2 or 3 minutes.
